Your first hours in Idyll set the tone for everything that follows. These are the habits that help most players get off to a good start.
1. Collect your launch rewards
Check your in-game mailbox as soon as you log in. Launch and pre-registration rewards are delivered there, and no code is needed for them. You can also add more rewards with our list of active Aniimo codes.
2. Finish the prologue
Finishing the opening story unlocks the core systems: catching, Twining and your home base. Resist the urge to wander off before the tutorial is done.
3. Choose your starter with care
After the tutorial you pick a starter: Lunara, a moon fox that fights at range, or Helion, a sun lion that fights up close. Community guides report that the choice is permanent, but that both starters are balanced, so neither is a trap. Pick the one whose playstyle you enjoy.
4. Catch as much as you can
- Catching fills your Aniilog, the collection of creatures you have met.
- Weaken a creature first. Reducing its Break gauge makes it easier to catch.
- Match your Aniipod to the creature: keep your strongest Aniipods for rare creatures and variants.
- Basic Aniipods can be restocked, so there is no need to hoard them.
5. Build a balanced team
Mix elements instead of stacking one type, so a single resistance does not stall a fight. Bring at least one creature that is good at breaking enemy guard, and balance damage dealers with support and healing.
6. Put your creatures to work at home
Your home base keeps producing while you are away. Assign the creatures you catch to jobs early, and collect regularly, because production can cap out.
Tip
Try Twining whenever you are stuck. Merging with a creature can open routes you cannot reach on foot. Read our Twining explainer for details.
